Farm Visits

Lone Mountain Farm is an educational farm, owned and operated by former teachers. We have the full spectrum of farm animals - tucked away in private cove that overlooks the South Mountians - all nestled in a magical storybook setting.  Farmer Dave will greet your group at the parking area with tractor and wagon in tow. Upon loading the wagon your group will be treated to a beautiful ride through a canopy of hard wood forest down to the farmstead. Students will have a guided tour of the farm - visiting with and learning about all the animals.

Bring your lunch and enjoy a picnic under the trees overlooking the farm. Classes are welcome to take a hike along the creek on one of our many nature trails. Your farm visit will conclude with a wagon ride back to the bus.

Admission:  $7.00 per child and $8.00 per adult (Teachers and Bus Drivers visit Free)
Note:  There is a minimum group size of 15  required for tours,  smaller groups must pay the minimum fee
***  there is an additional one dollar charge for all Saturday tours
